PORT CHALMERS PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL.
On Sunday afternoon the prizes won for Sabbath school work throughout the year were presented in the Port (Chalmers Presbyterian Church, by tlio Rev. Alex. Whyte. The prizes are given for an examination on memory woik accoiding to a syllabus for standards devised our 10 years ago by the superintendent, Mr John Tait. Each child scoring 90 per cent, gets a first class prize. The number ol prizes won this year exceeded all previous records. Besides these prizes the following received Oxford Teachers' Bibles for repeating without error the Shorter Catechism :—M. F. Shaw, Ellen Love, Doris Sunderland, Isabel Watson, Janet Dow, Ivy Fletcher, Armio Bamberry, Alex, Sutherland, Peggie Wlhytc. The prize-list was as follows:—
