I MOLLISONS LIMITED, CORNER GEORGE AND FREDERICK STREETS. \DUNEDIN, 19 EEASONS. I. THOMSONS use only the purest and best fruit juices and fruit extracts, the very finest No. 1 grade cane sugar, while all other ingredients used for different purposes aro the purest and best obtainable in the world. .2. They'guarantee that all Cordials, Carbonated Waters, Syrups, Wines, etc., bearing their name and trade mark "Purity" on capsule, label, and wrapper contain NO ADULTERATION C)R CHEMICALS OF ANY KIND. 3. To guard against any possibility of adulteration, all fruit juices, sugar, and other raw material aro microscopically and analytically examined in Thomsons analytical laboratory, before being passed for manufacture. 4. The 1 factory in which Thomson's world-renowned drinks are manufactured is the mast sanitary and BEST-EQUIPPED SOUTH OF THE LINE. The staff are speciallytrained experts, and aro only selected, for 6pecial duties. 6: The only water used is from a boro 200 ft below the surface, tapping an artesian crystal spring, and this lovely clear water is preserved in all its natural purity and freshness throughout the whole process of 'manufacture. No chemicals or alum have .thorcforo to be used for the precipitation of suspended or other impurities, as is tho case with creek or reservoir water. It is also from 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the reservoir or crock water commonly used. 6. Instead of storing their water in-wooden tubs, brick, concrete, or iron tai.ks, which aro open to the duet and filth of the city, Thomsons store theirs in hermetic-ally-sealed tanks, which are porcelain-lined, and absolutely immune from impurity of any kind. The water comes direct from tho boro into the bottles, and never at any time comes into contact with the atmosphere. 7. All Cordials and Waters which leave their establishment are manufactured from their artesian crystal spring. 8. All Cordials, Syrups, etc., are filtered three times before being bottled. This in part nrxounts for tho well-known brilliancy and sparkle of THOMSON'S Cordials and Aerated Waters. 9. To prevent the possibility of metallic or other contaminations, the scales used for weighing purposes arc manufactured throughout of platcgtes. They are kept in hermetically-sealed glass cases away; from the dust and damp of tho atmosphere, and are so delicate as to be a,ble to weigh one-650th part of a grain. 10. The machinery is lined with eoiid silver, and all pumps aro fitted with glara plungers instead of brass, thus preventing the possibility of metallic contamination. 11. All bottles are of clear crystal glass. They are all passed through a strong boiling solution- of 15ft of caustic soda for 15min,' and are then thoroughly handwashed in a strong solution of permanganate of potash (no machinery being used (or the washing), and then rinsed twico with crystal spring water by a patent process that makes it impossible for any foreign substance to remain in them, Fresh spring water is used every timo for washing and rinsing. 12. No shot machines aro used in tho washing of Thomson's bottles, as these always leave a poisonous deposit of acetato of lead. All bottles aro thoroughly dried beforo filling. To put aerated waters into wet bottles is like pouring champagne into a wet glass, 13. Cheap-corks spoil good contents. Thomsons are very particular to get the best. All their corks come from the famous Catalonia cork forests, and are first grade. They aro also packed in double bales, which cost more money, but prevents contamination in transit. 14. Before Ueing put into the bottle every cork is carefully selected, and then thoroughly sterilised. ■ • • 15. To mako doubly sure of absolute purity, as well as to prevent tho slightest possibility of deterioration, EVERY BOTTLE IS PASTEURISED after it is hermetically' sealed. This ensures PERMANENT GOOD QUALITY and absolute proof ngainst germs. Thomson and Co. are the'only cordial manufacturers in the Dominion who have adopted pasteurisation. 16. THOMSONS guarantee their Ginger Wine to be MATURED IN SEASONED OAK CASKS FOR TWO AND A-IIALF YEARS beforo boing bottled, and their Raspberry Vinegar and Limeiuico Cordial to bo MATURED IN GLASS FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS before being put on tho market. 17. In the manufacture of their Carbonated Waters the gas is washed three times through crystal spring water before being used to carbonate the waters. 18. Thomsons have been awarded 25 SPECIAL GOLD MEDALS and 31 FIRST CLASS CERTIFICATES in open competition against tho world's best manufacturers. This is a record for Australasia, and speaks for itself. 19. Finally, "PURITY" is Thomson's trade mark and watchword—from the washing and rinsing to tho manufacturing, bottling, corking, labelling, capsuling, and wrapping of tho bottles. Result: The peoplo of Otago are supplied with wholesome and refreahincr summer drinks that Oannot be excelled in any part of theworld, and certainly CANNOT BE EQUALLED by anything on the New Zealand market whether local or imported.
