HOBART, December 23,-Tho Mamari, ■ from London, was signalled at 10 this morning. She will proceed to Wellington to land immigrants, and then sail direct to Duncdin, arriving probably between Christmas and New Year.

The Waipori will sail to-day for Greymouth, whero she will load a cargo of timber for Sydney. ■ ■ ■ • The Federal-Shire liner Ayrshire is due at Auckland on January 12 from Liverpool and after discharging at Wellington and Lyttolton is duo hero about January 28 for final discharge. ' '• The Union Company's steamer Kamona has the distinction of being the.largest .vessel to be berthed at the Gisborr.e wharf, lne vessel, which is of 1425 tons, arrived last week, drawing 13ft 9in, and was safely piloted in by the harbourmaster, Captain J. Benton. Under charter to the Federal-Shire Line, the New. Zealand Shipping Company's liner Hurunui is due to airiva at Auckland to-day from Liverpool. After discharging at 'northern ports, sho is duo at Duncdin about Januarv 13 to complete her discharge. TheMoura will be despatched from Melbourne tonday for Dunedin direct. She is due here on Monday or Tuesday, and will run the 'annual excursion trip to Oatnara' on New Year's Day. The Star of Ireland is expected to arrive at Auckland to-morrow from New York, and after discharging at northern ports she should arrive here about January 18 for final discharge. The steamer Inverkip is.scheduled to sail from New York on Monday with a full general cargo for Melbourne, Sydney, And New Zealand ports.. Her local agents are Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. Efforts are being made to complete the discharge of the Kaipara's Home cargo in timo to enable the vessel 10 get away this afternoon for.Bluff, where she will commence her Homeward loading, The Moana is due to'arrive at, Wellington from San Francisco, and will be despatched the following .day for Sydney. The Moana was one of the lirst vessels to be stuck- up by tho strike, and was fully a week, late in sailing from Wellington last trip, and has thus made up her lost time. Although her departure has not yet been cabled, the Surrey was due to leave Liverpool on tho 20th inst. for New Zealand .porte. She will be followed by other Federal-Shire linens in the following order:—Westmeath, sailing from Liverpool on February 14; Morayshire, March 14; Durham, April 11; and Sussex, /May 9, Captain W. Manning, who has resumed command of. the Maori, has with him tho following officers:—Chief, Mr A. Barr; 6ccond, Mr A. B. Sizer; third, Mr W. Gray; purser, Mr C. Leighton; assistant purser, Mr J. D. She will be known as "Pfak" The steamer will be somewhat larger than the Elsass and Rheinland class, and has been constructed on similar lines to tho Pommem, which made her first visit to Australia some few months ago. Besides large general cargo space, the Pfalz, and tho other vessels that follow- her, will be provided' with refrigerator space in order to meet the growing trade in perishable products between the .Commonwealth and the Continent,
