Prout and Marshall checked the rout, and tha fourth wicket fell at 51. The fielding was very good, Hickmott particularly being brilliant, and tho bowling was difficult. At 71 the fifth wicket fell, and two others went down before the scoro was increased, Sandman securing three wickets within a few minutes. Queensland's chances of winning were considerably diminished by the fino fielding of the .Arisitors. A smart return by Reese resulted in Barstow being run out.
