Tho annual meeting of the Loyal Excelsior Lodge, Protestant Alliance friendly Society of Australasia, wns held in their lodge hall, Green Island, on Friday evening. W.M. Bro. J. Lindsay presided, and there was a good attendance of members, including visitors from Lodges Nos. 9 and 11. One candidate was initiated info the order. Four more havo been proposed. Bro. C. A. Arnold, W.G.M.'s representative, paid an official visit, and, with the assistance of P.M. Bro. Lumley, of Lodge No. 9, installed the following officers in a very impressive manner:—P.M., Bro. J. Lindsay; W.M., Bro. W. Allan; D.M.,8r0. W. Wateon; secretary, Bro. J. B. Falconer; treasurer, Bro. T. E. Herbison; chaplain, the Rev. Bro. J. Kilpatrick; S.E., Bro. J. D. Taylor; J.E., Bro. J. W. Thomson; 1.G., Bro. J. Wilden; 0.G., Bro. J. M'Mullan; auditors, Bros. F. Fastier and H. A Christie. Bros. Arnold and Lumley, in responding to tho voto of thanks, congratulated the lodge on its success in the past, and hoped it would be continued in the future. £2 13s 4d (sick pay) was passed, and the receipts for tho evening totalled over £80.
