Messrs Park, Reynolds (Ltd.) submitted to auction at their rooms yesterday three properties at Eglinton, Morning-ton, in tho estate of the late Mr Francis Anderson. Thero was a large attendance of buyers. Lot 1, comprising a section at tho corner of Neidpath road and Patrick street, containing 184 poles, together with a sevenroomed house, was disposed of, after keen competition, for £550. Lot 3, consisting of a section containing 24.9. poles, having a _ frontage to Catherine street, together with a: house of six rooms, was sold for £300. Lot '2, comprising a scction in Patrick street, together with a five-roomed house, was passed in, as the bidding d'd not ; readh a sufficiently high figure. Messrs_ E. L. Macassey and Co. offered by auction at their rooms yesterday, on behalf of the trustees of the late Mary Ann Doyle's estate, the freehold of the Railway Hotel, Oturehua, together' with a Crown grazing license over 10 acres, also a fourroomed cottage opposite the hotel. Thero wns a large attendance of the public, and a number of buyers from the Otago Central were also present. Competition was keen. Bidding commenced at £500, and advanced by £50 bids to £1150, at which price the property was sold to Mr Patrick Lynch, of Hyde.
