SYDNEY, December 3.

Great heat is being experienced throughout the State, and bush fires in many districts have caused severe damage. Many farmers round Dubbo and Junee have suffered heavy losses of wheat, hay, and grass, some of the farms being swept clean by the flames.

A number of towns, including Broken Hill,' are feeling the effects of the protracted hot weather, and water famines are threatened at several places.
