ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

AUCKLAND, December 2.
A married man named H. Golder, a Union Company's employee, fell from a ladder oh tho King's wharf this mroning. Ho was admitted to tho hospital immediately, suffering from concussion of the brain. His condition is regarded as serious.
MARTON, December 2.
An elderly man named Wiliam Smith, a resident of Bulls for 35 years, was killed instantaneously to-day. Ho was giving a lad a ride behind him while returning homo from the Marton stock saJes, and the horse, objecting to the double burdca, threw Mr Smith. Ho fell on hie forohead, and was killed Ho leaves a widow and eight children, all grown up.
WANGANUI, December 2.
A young man named Reginald C. Faber, aged 18 years, met with a fatal accident yesterday. While riding a motor bicycle ho collided with a dray, and sustained a fractured larynx. Death resulted this afternoon . He was a wellknown athlete, and an ex-student of tho Collegiate School. - Ho represented Wanganui in Rugby football, cricket, hockey, and was an oarsman.
An inquest will bo held at the Hospital this morning into tho circumstances in connection with a fatal accident which befell Alfred Tennyson Moss, aged 21, who -resided with 'his widowed mother in Frame street, North-Eaat Valley. It appears that MO6S was riding homo on a bicycle on Monday night a little after 5 o'clock, and was keeping to the tram track. As he camo near to tho George Street School a tram oar, driven by Motorman Lenz, camo into view, travelling from North-East "Valley, on tho parallel track. Just at ihat time Moss must have heard tho sound of a motor cycle which waa coming along behind him, and, evidently not noticing the oncoming tram car, went to cro3s over tho road to make way for the motor cyclist, instead of pulling into the footpath on his left-hand side. The motorman sounded his gong and applied the brakes, but the cyclist 6hot right across in front of tho car and was struck by its left-hand corner, being hurled to the ground. ■ Ho to at onco taken to the Hospital in an ambulance, but died shortly after his admission without |ccovering consciousness. Deceaecd was a foreman in tho employ of Messrs Coopers (Limited), and had been working on a job at Anderson Ray.
. Tho nine-year-old son of Mr George MTJiiy had his left leg fractured above tho ankle as a result of slipping while plaving at the To Hortka School on Monday afternoon. Ho was conveyed to Ealclutlia by motor ear, and attended to by Dr Stenhouse.
