Mr E. A. Roberts, member for Adelaide in tho Federal House of Representatives, and lion. Minister in tho Fisher Cabinet, dropped dead in the precincts of the House this afternoon after participating in a debate.
— Joseph M'lntyro, of Raleigh, North Carolina, who claims _to bo 120 years old, and has buried six wives, recently tried to marry a eprijrhtly young thing of 80, who lias outlived four husbands, but the registrar, on tho-'ground that M'lntyre was too old to look lifter a wife properly, refused to issuo a license.
--The present King of Spain is allowed" £280,000 a year. His queen receives £18,000 from the civil list.
