JEWEL ROBBERY

PRESENTS STOLEN.

Pre*i Association—By Telegraph—Copyright,

LONDON, December 1.

There arc sensational reports of tho robbery of the Duke of Connaught's jewels in connection with his insignia for the Order of tho Garter. Scotland Yard has not been informed of the robbery, and the report is supposed to be due to the loss of a present from the duko to a friend.

The missing jewels were merely the Duke of Connaught's presents to Captain Grant, who was formerly an aide-de-camp.
