STOCKTON STRIKE.

WESTPORT, October 12._ The Stockton Miners' Union officials arid the managers of the Stockton and Westport Coal Company's mines considered the Stockton strike on Saturday, and finally proposals were submitted for consideration by the union at a meeting to-day. The result of the meeting has not yet come to hand, but those interested are hopeful that an amicable settlement will be reached.
