OTTAWA, October 2. (Received Oct. 2, at 10.40 p.m.) The director of geological survey reports that extensive supplies of oil fuel suitable for naval purposes exist throughout Western Canada.

Steps are to be taken to bring the matter before the Admiralty in view of the latter's intention to investigate the oil resources of the Empire.
