Chadwick is also entitled to hold for a year the Maclean Cup, and wins.tho medal given for the best average in the y club.' In bowling R. Torrance once more. 1 leads the way, this time with tho remark-. ably good averago of 9.5 for 51 wickeS, D. J. Bryden 11.0 (9 wickets), and W. WMackeriy 14.)9 (28 wickets) following, v Tho B team's position (third) in the Second ■ Grade Championship is somewhat disappointing. For this team T. Thomson had a batting averago of 43.50, obtained ,in six innings, two only of which were completed, next in order being V. Perry 17.66 (six completed innings), and H. Hodge 16-69 •' (13 innings). In bowling A. Torrance was f first with 7.30 (13 wickets), but M'. Thomson' did tho bu'Jc of the . work, and put up ail Excellent . performance by capturing -65 wickets at a.oost of 8.74. F. Graham olt tainod 15 at 9.33. Another pleasant season was put in by the C's. This team won five of its matohes, losing three and drawing one, and finished sixth on the list D. Wilkie headed the batting with -25.25 . obtained by consistent scoring, E. Fleming was next with 24.75 (four completed innings), while CV Eyro was third with 21.15 (10. completed innings). A. Given, by cagy turing 36 wickots at an average cost of 8 37, headed the bowling, being followed bv ; C. Eyro . 10.37 (32 wickets), and G: A'. ' Wycherley 12.75 (19 wickets). A. Blatk (9.77) and E. Newton (9.33) were the'most successful with the bat. Some qotable performances were put up by members of - the various teams during the season. , Centuries were scored by T. Do la Mero (105 for B team v. Opoho) and T. {101 for the C's v. Albion), and tno hat, was performed by E. Fleming (C team ,V. ' Carisbrook D) and A. Given (C team V..' \ Grange). The club was represented in the interprovincial match, .Otago v. Canterbury, played in Dunedin, by H» Torrance; in tip match against the same province at Christ- * church by Condliffe and Bryden, in the South Melbourne match by Condliffe, and in the Southland engagement by Condliffe (who captained the team), L. Chadwick, and Bryden. G. A. Wycherley plnyc<t in the junior representative matches - v, Canterbury and Southland, captaining, the Otago side on each occasion. W. Tweedy and Perry also played against Canterbury. In the team of Australians, which defeated an Otago eleven, were included W. TwoedJr. and G. A. Wycherley, whilo D. J. Brydetr, L. Chadwick, 'W. W. Hackersy, and J W. Condliffe played for Otago. on that occasion. In addition to.the Maclean Cup >i and medal, the following trophies were won last season:—Fielding (presented by Mr T. S, Graham), Mr A. Given; bowling fpresented by_ Mr J. Melville), Mr M. Thomson; batting average C team, Mr D. Wil-' * kie, In order to upset club fixtures as little as possible, the Otago Cricket Association has come to an arrangement with tho j military authorities whereby, the dates-of -i summer parades have already been-fixed. ! Tllg arrangements are as follow: —Throe - half-day parades will be hold prior to tho opening of tho cricket season (October 25). Full-day parades on November 8 and 15, December 6 and 13,, and ■ February 14 and 21, tho latter subject to adjustment.
