Judge Globensky ruled out the New York State Attorney's representatives when Thaw's motion to drop the Habeas Corpus proceedings was mentioned. The hundreds of spectators in oourt, chiefly Americans, cheered British justice and the British flag. Thaw bowed theatrically three times to the United States Attorney. He refused to make a statement, but declared that such an outburst might have been suppressed in any court. The Habeas Corpus motion was adjourned.

HABEAS CORPUS ACTION. DISCONTINUANCE GRANTED. OTTAWA, August 27. At the Montreal Court Judge Globensky granted a discontinuance of the Habeas Corpus action, and remanded Thaw to gaol. The New York lawyers regard this as a complete victory.
