Thursday, August. 28. (Before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, S.M.) Drunkenness— One first offender, who did not appear, was fined 10s, the amcmnti of his bail, in default 24 hours' imprisonment; and a second was remanded for a week for mcdieal treatment. —Thomas Muster wae fined 5s for drunkenness, in default 24 houra' imprisonment. On a charge of assaulting a little girl, aged 12 years, he was remanded until tho next morning. Casting Offensive Matter.—Robert Nicol was fined £3, in default, threo weeks' imprisonment, for casting offensive-matter in I'rincls 6treet south on August 27.
