DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE The share market was fairly quiet yesterday. In dredging stocks Electrics were offered at 4« 6d, and Rise and Shines at £1 lis, but no buyers came forward. Ross Goldfields opened firm, with buyers at 13s and sellers asking 5d more. Prices advanced during the day to 14s (buyers) and 14a 9d (sellers), but no business was transacted. Waihis wero in slightly firmer demand at £2 7s 6d, with sellers holding out for £2 Bs. There wero sellers cf Waihi Grand Junctions at £1 Is lid, with buyers offering 3d less. Steady inquiries were made for Bank of Now Zealands at £10 10s, with a late seller quoted at £10 14s. Buyers of National Insurances advanced to £2 7s 3d, and National Mortgages were in firm demand at £3195, but sellers did not declare. Two sales of Union Steams were effected at £2 4s, the market closing with further buyers at that prico and sellers at £2 4s 3d. Westport Coals had- steady buyers at £1 8s 3d, but holders declined to quit under £1 9s. Other investment lines were inquired for at recent prices, but sellers were not quoted.
