\ * KING'S PRIZE. WON BY CANADIAN. ■ Pr»u Association—By Telegraph—Copjtieht. LONDON, July 25. At the Bialey prize meeting Private F. G. Harrison (New South Wales) won the Elkington Challenge Cup, and Sergeant Ommundsen (Fourth Royal Soots) the silver cup for the same event. July 26. (Received July 27, at 5.5 p.m.) Colonel Chayto;- (New Zealand) scored 191 points, and has qualified lor the final stage of the King's Prize. July 27. (Received July 28,.at 0.40 a.m.); Private Hoskins (Canada) won the King's Prize with a, score of 330, and Sergeant Fenby (329 points) was second. Blacklow (323 points) was sixth, and Halliday (321 points) eighth. Macalister scored 319 points and Harrison 318., The four last-named, who are Australians, won a badge and £10 each. Five other Australians—Semmens, Cross, Green, Garrity, and Calliford—won a badge and £5 each.

Instead of firing 10 shots at the three last ranges the King's Prize competitors fired 15 shots at 900 and 1000 yards. '

Sergeant Ommundsen, firing 10 rounds in 30 seconds, was one point ahead of Sergeant Fenby at the end of the 900 yds stage. Sergeant Ommundsen unaccountably missed the target with his seventh shot at* 1000 yds, and finished with a total of 324.

Meanwhile a crowd had gathered round Private Hawkins. With his last shot he required an inner to tie with Sergeant Fenbv, but he scored a bull's-eye.

Hawkins's range scores were as follow: 148, 46, 68, 68. The winner is a Toronto lawyer, and has been shooting for six years. On his first visit to Bisley he secured a place in the Canadian team as substitute for an absent man. Throughout the meeting he shot with the greatest sang froid, smoking between the ranges and chewing gum while firing, He was accorded a great reception, while the Canadians "chaired" him around the camp. A. G. Fuiton won the St. George's Vase with a score of 119 points.

The Duchess of Wellington presented the prizes. The Australians were greatly cheered on receiving the MacKinnon Cup.
