BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL.
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS. A very full meeting of the executive of the association formed to carry out the jubilee celebrations was held in the Empire Buildings on Friday evening. A considerable amount oi correspondence wis. received.
His Excellency the Governor has consented to extend his patronage to the functions, but will be ■unable to attend.

Hnlliwel), Dr C. Little, Mr C. Littlcjohn, Dr P. A. Lindsay, Pr W. M. Macdonald, Mr J. D. Montgomery, Dr W. Newlands. Messrs J. O'Shea, P. O'Shea, A.' J. Park, T. D. Pearce, R. M. Rutherford, A. C. Stephens, J. A. Scott, S. Solomon. K.C., J. Thompson, Dr J. B. Thomson, Rev. A. B. Todd, and Mr E. H. Wilmot, The Conveners of the various committees reported that tho work in connection with the various functions was well in hand. Mr F. Calvert stated that over 300 would bo present at tho dinner, wliich bids fair to bo the most important function of its kind ever held in Dunedin. A large number of distinguished guests, a 6 well as old boys who have won high positions in the professions, have notified their intention of being present. At the chapel service to be held next Sunday a number of distinguished clergy 'iave been invited to occupy soate on'ths platform. As'far as is possible, it is desired that academic robes be worn. Major Gilbert "M. Hutton, two of the old pupils of the school. At the historical meeting on Monday a number of interesting items appear on the programme. Past and. present boys will assemble in the school for at 9.20 a.m. A roll will be taken by means of cards, the old boys standing as the name of each rector in turn is read out. Speeches on the history of the school will be deivcred, and a march past of the duces will be held. Several school songs and short addresses by gentlemen connected with educational matters will a'so be given. A march past of old boys of two generations will bo of considerable interest, and will indicate those old boys who have stood by the school and sent their sons there in spite of the apparent advantages of certain other schools in the dominion. Any old boy of the school who has, or who had, a son who has passed through the school, and anv old boy whose father was a'pupil of the school are cordially invited to take part in the procession. Father and sons will walk together past tho chairman. Past masters are considered to be old bovs of the school. Cards for the names will be issued for this function, and will bo taken at the door to enable a permanent record to be made.
