Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. roport:—'Wo held our fortnightly sale of butchers' abattoir hides arid shcopskiiis on account of tho Otago Co-operafivo Tallow and Bv-Froducts Co., lit Jiurnsido yesterday. "Thero was a good attendance of buyers at the sheepskin auction, and bidding was brisk. As reportod at our last sale" owing to a now buyer, prices showed an advance on provioue quotations. Values paid yesterday wore very firm. Quotations Best haJfbroda to 9d, medium BJd to
BJd; best fine crossbreds BJd to BJd, medium B|d to B£d; best crossbreda 8^(1 to Bid, medium 8d to 8W; throe-quarter-brods 7£d to B'id; bost lambs to Bj,d, raodidm BJd to Bgd. At the hido sals competition was dull, and prices wore |d por lb easier. Tho best prico in oxhides was 9d per lb, and in cows, which were all light weights, 7d per lb, extra stout heavy ox to Od, stout heavy B£d to d, heavy BJd to Bjd, medium 7sd to Bd, light 7s>d to 7-« d; stout heavy and medium cows, none on offer; light-to 7d lb; calfskins to lOd.
