The city of Vancouver, British Columbia, has been" greatly annoyed by the smoke from sawmilk and lumber mills. To overcome this nuisnnce, a company haa been formed to supply these mills with electric power. As fuel' for the generating plant. however, it is planned to use the sawdust from the lumber _initio' waste, heaps. A 6 the power 'i obtained in this way from a. waste product, electricity can be furnished at greatly reduced rates, and not only is. the smoke nuisance abated, but the problem of disposing of cnjrmoru piles of sawdust, u also solved.
