NORTH ISLAND POULTRY ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. (Pan United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 19. The annual meeting of the North Island Poultry Association decided that the headquarters shall remain at Auckland for this year. A motion by Mr Gallichcn (Wellington) to enable affiliated bodies to subscribe to or amalgamate with a company, club, or society, whoso objects arc. similar to those of the association was defeated. In reply to a question bv n Hastings delegate, it, was stated that the New Zealand championships were limited to a body formed in opposition to the main association, who intended to award certificates only for championships at present. Some heated remarks were made by the Wellington delegate, who was asked by the chairman to withdraw certain statements. This lie refused to do. and left the room. It was resolved unanimously to confirm the action of the association in withdrawing the Orpington Championships from the Wellington Society, boinp strongly of opinion that its action in advertising New Zealand championships was inimical to the interests of tbo association, Previous to withdrawing, the Wellington delegate, moved that the North Island Association bo disbanded, but the motion lapsed for want of a seconder.
