OIL FUEL FOR THE NAVY
POSSIBLE EFFECT ON MINERS.
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.
LONDON, July 18. (Received July 20. at 5.5 p.m.) The Daily Citizen, commenting on Mr Churchill's speech, protests against any action injuriously affecting the coal miners. It says that grisly spectres- of naval defeat must not be ueed against the interests of the miners and their four million wives and children. Perhaps oil can be obtained from coal, but in no circumstances will the devastation of 5,000,000 people be permitted.
