The newspapers compliment the Australians on a popular victory—and single ont for especial praise Blacklow's fine performance—in the Mackinnon Cup. It is considered that for a young team they shot with remarkable consistency under difficult circumstances. The team are higbly commended for their sportsmanship.
THE ELCHO SHIELD. WON BY SCOTLAND. LONDON, July 19. Scotland won the Elcho Shield at Bisley with a score of 1732, England 1727, Ireland 1667. THE SEEVICE CUP. . LONDON, July 19. (Received July 20, at 5.5 p.m.) The Service Cup was won by the Navy team with 726 points. The Royal Marines scored 695 points and the Army 687 points. Last vear the Koto Shield (15 shots at 900. 1000, and 1100 yards) was won by England with 1687 points. Scotland being second with 1634 points, and Ireland third with 1631 points.
