MAORI HILL FIRE BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Maori Hill Fire Board, held yesterday afternoon, was attended bv Messrs S. N. Brown (chairman), 0. Balk, W. I. Bolam, H. D. Stronach, A. M'Millan, and J. R. Cameron. Aji intimation was received Irom the Department of Internal Affairs that Mr 0. Balk had been reappointed as the Government's representative on the board, that the fire insurance companies had elected. Messrs W. I. Bolam, H. D. Stronach, and J. R. Cameron, and the Maori Hill Borough Council Messrs S. N. Brown, E. S. Clarke, and A. M'Millan.—Received.

Mr Cameron reported that tho. fire alarms had boon tested on three occasions since last meeting, and on the lost two occasions everything had worked satisfactorily. It' was resolved to obtain samples of cloth and prices for making 20 uniforms for members of the brigade. Tho bank overdraft was stated to be £111 15s Bd.
