CONSPIRACY TO DEFRAUD
THRRE MEN SENTENCED.

Thomasett has been sentenced to 20 months' ; imprisonment, Lambert to 18 months, and David to 15 months.
An alleged conspiracy involving £22,000 '•was referred to at. Bow Street on March '"''l2, when Victor Tbomosßet (45), a solicitor, of Crown to*, Bromley Common; Adricn David (50), clerk, of King's Gardens, West Hampst&ad, and Aurele Lajn&at de Lambert (si), banker, of Sandwich crescent, "West Hampstead, wero charged with con- , spiring with others unknown to obtain by -•false pretences £8000 from Elias Azaneot "'and others.
Mr R. D. Muir, prosecuting, said that m two cases, which ho stouki be in a position [to prove, fie defendants had defrauded the '•prosecutors of upwards of £22,000. Two of the defendants were aliens and the third was a native of France practising in England as a solicitor.

On this evidence Sir A. do Rutzen granted a remand and declined to allow fail.
