LONDON, July 17. The loss of the pearl necklace mentioned yesterday is the biggest sensation in the history of Hatton Garden. Mr Meyer, the owner of the valuable packet, was occupied for a year in collecting the 61 pearis of which the missing necklace consisted. It is believed to be the most valuable in the world. The price asked for it was £150,000. It was insured for the full .amount with Lloyd's, who have offered £10,000 reward.
The 6ugar put in place of the pearls represents their weight to a gramme. Several of the seals had apparently been removed and exactly similar ones added.

LONDON, July 17.
The necklace was stolen between Paris and Hatton Garden. It was registered in Paris on Tuesday, and addressed to Max Meyer, an Australian authority on pearls. The packet contained 61 pearls, and was insured. It is assumed that the theft was perpetrated in France.
