CHRISTCHURCH MARKETS.

(Pkd, United Peess Association.)

CBRISTCHURCH, July 18.

There is still no move in tho local grain and produce market, and the only hope of an improvement in tho export trade lies in tho possibility .of obtaining clicapei' freights to tho United Kingdom. So far nothing has been done in this direction. There is, however, not any large quantity of grain available for export, and prospects of a shorter harvest next season will induce holders to remain ifnm in their idea of value. The potato .market is dull, and £2 15s is now the general price offered at country stations.

Thoro is an improved inquiry for seed potatoes, especially for early varieties.
