Ritchie (chairman of the Wanganui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board) has been busy in connection with the burial of John O'Ncil, an old war veteran, who died at tho Wanganui Hospital early this month, and about whose interment Sir E. A. Vickors made a startling statement at the Hospital Board's meeting on Wednesday,, that tho old man was buried like a dog! • , _ ■ From investigations mado, Mr Ritchie states, there was no foundation in the allegation made by Mr Vickers, and he had the nsfitiraiico of tho contractor who buried the old man that the interment was.decently carried out, oven though, it was a cheap burial.
