GISBORNE TOURNAMENT. (Pf.r United Press Association.) GISBORNE, June 26. The Gisborne Boxing Association's tournament opened to-night. Following are the results :— Feather-weight.—X. Bennetts (Auckland) ■beat A. Parkinson (Gisborne) on points; A. Adair (Gisborne) beat J. Sutherland (G- : eborne) on points. Senu-tinal— tt. Ireland (Waipawa) beat Bennetts. Welter-weight.—Final—J. Mitchell (Auckland) be.it G. Richardson (Gisborne) on points. Light-weight.—W. Ireland (Waipawa) beat F. Bliss (Waikato). Bliss knocked Ireland down for 8 sec in the first round, but Ireland practically knocked Bliss out in the third round with a heavy right to point. The referee stopped the tight V. u'rure (Gisborne) beat J. Burch (Gisborne) in two rounds.

Heavy-weight.—P. M'Quarrio (Southland) beat li. Sandow (Auckland) on points. Middle-weight.—Gate (Gisborne) beat O'Connor (Gisborne) on points; J. Mitchell (Auckland) beat T. Long (Christchurch) on points.
