THE SHAKE MARKET.
DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The principal feature of tho local share market yesterday was tho continued activity in Waihis at considerably advanced prices. From dosing of buyers £2 Os 9d, sellers £2 Is Ad, on Wednesday, they rose to £2 Is 9d—£2 2s 6d yesterday morning, and at the midday call several'"sales were effected at £2 3s and £2 3s 3d. In the afternoon further business was effected at the latter figure, and sales were reported both at £2 3s and £2 3s 3d. The marJcet closed with buyers offering £2 3s, and sellers asking for 6d more. Waihi Grand Junctions were firmer, with buyers at 17s 9d. and sellers asking 18s 3d. A sale of Westport Coals was reported at £1 7s 9d, and more were inquired for at £1 7s 6d.
