STRIKERS DISSATISFIED,

It is reported that dissatisfaction is spreading among tho southern coal strikers owiri'g to the smallne6s of the strike pay and the lack of progress towards a settlement.
Mr Peter Bowling denies the reports of weakening and dissatisfaction, and declares that each miners' lodge possesses a fund sufficient for the relief of all distress. '
The newspapers/ however, predict a breakaway amongst the miners.
OUTLOOK MORE HOPEFUL. . SYDNEY, April 25.

Though nothing definite has transpired regarding Wednesday's deputation to Ministers the position at the southern collieries is reported to bo more hopeful.
It is rumoured that a resumption of work during the coming week is probable.
The'outlook, at the northern coalfields is also, regarded as less threatening.

Forty tip-carters employed by the City Council have struck against making an extra trip to Centennial Park daily, alleging that it involves cruelty to the horses.
