THE WEATHER
A change took place in the weather in Dunedin on Friday afternoon, a fog following very warm atmospheric conditions. Saturday was damp and rain fell at intervals throughout tho day. Yesterday the conditions were no better, rain falling for a good part of the day, and at an early hour this morning the sky was still overcast, and the prospects no better. After nino very warm days tho weather has changed to mist and rain from the south-east. WAIKOUAITI, March 7. Tho rainfall registered hero for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. on March 5 was 29 points. QUEENSTOWN. March 7. The rainfall registered here for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m was 26 points.' WOODLANDS, March 8. The rainfall registered hero for the 24 hours ended 7 a.m. to-day was 99 points. A steady soaking rain is falling today. The oat crops have been damaged considerably by strong winds. DIPTON, March 8. Fifty-five points of rain fell on tho 4th inst., 3i on the sth, and 90 on the 7th.
