OCEAN BEACH DOMAIN BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Ocean Beach Domain Board,' held yesterday afternoon, was attended by Messrs J. 11. Hancock (in the chair), W. Burnett, J. H. F. Hamel, and J. E, White.

The secretary of tho St. Clair Life Saving Club wrote asking the board to pass a by-law to the effect that a fine of £5 be imposed on any person interfering with the club's property.—lt was decided to hold the letter over until a conference with the club took place. Lambert Bros, wrote asking for permission io take beach sand for manufacturing purposes.— Granted; a chargo of Is per load to be made, and tho sand to be taken from an approved part of tho domain. The secretary of tho Wairoa Harbour Board wrote accepting the board' 6 offer to procure a sack of lupin seed—Received. The hon. secretary of the Pacific Surf Bathing Club wrote asking permission to remove tho men's bathing shed at St. Kilda closer to the sea, At present it was so far from tho water that it was practically useless.—The _ matter was held over until a conference with tho club took placo.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, wrote asking for permission to take 10 bags of Ocean Beach sand—Granted. Aooounts amounting to £148 16s 8d were passed for payment.
