CONDITIONS AT CHATALJA. TURKS FROZEN TO DEATH. Pipes Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CONSTANTINOPLE, March 6. (Received March 6, at 11.10 p.m.) One hundred Turks at the Chatalja outposts have been frozen, 65 of them fatally. Many underwent amputations. MEDIATION PROPOSALS. LONDON, March 6. (Rcceivcd March 7, at 0.10 a.m.) The Powers yesterday informed the Allies of Turkey's request for mediation. Th'o Allies replied that they must consult together. It is expected that they will consent, but they insist on an indemnity.
