DUNDAS STREET FLOWER SHOW.

Tlio fourth annual show of cookery, (lowers, pot plants, and vegetables in co.iiiiectioii wiUi the Du-ndas Street Primitive Methodist Church was held in tlio church hall lust night. 'I'lio originator of the idea, Mr K Kubson, is absent this year, but the work was enthusiastically and efficiently carried through by Messrs R. Bruce, ,1. li. Vickers, and i'. Young. The number of entries in the cookery section, 58, was slightly behind those received last year, but a considerable advance was made in the flower, |K>t plant, and vegetable tieetions, in which the entries totalled over 200. The judging of the cookery exhibits was carried out by Professor Boys Smith, of the decorative sections by Mrs Hamel, and of all the remaining classes by Mr J. Ronnie. There was a large atendajice throughout the evening, and a number of interesting flora I competitions "were arranged for the children. The Dresden Piano Company kindly leut a gramophone, from which a number of choice selections were given at intervals. The (lowers and pot plants made a very pretty display in the hall, and the whole show proved a most successful little affair, reflecting credit on all responsible for the arrangements made.
