All the city and suburban lodges were represented, Mosgiel Lodge securing pride of place with an attendance of 24. Ami " Otago Executivo " attended officially end was cordially received. Tho routinework of the lodge, including the. initiation of a new member, was quickly disposed of, and thereafter tile meeting "settled down to refreshments ami u good programme of musical and elocutionary itoms, interspersed with several toasts. The programme submitted by the Hand and Heart Lodge was well nbove the average, and included tains by Hies. Pacey, lilackie, Roincril, Nanmann, Sligo, llussell, and Orchard. At the meeting of tho Loval Duncdin Lodge (X.G. Kro. Rigby presiding) the attendance mirnborod over 100, Albion taking tho lead with a muster of 26. Two candidates «wo initiated, the major portions of tho ceremony being given by G M Rro. Johnstone and P.G. Bro. W. Treworn. A travelling certificate was punted to Bro. J. 0. Burk, who is going to the OUgo Central, and tho lodge voted a grant to n distressed brother. P.G. Bro. V. Treworn made a welcome reappearance after a severe illness. Tho lodge regretted to learn of the death of Rro. Nislwt, and a letter of condolence was directed to bo forwarded to his widow. A committee was set up to "Hike arrangements to entertain tho I'orestcrs next lodge night. Bros, Paoev. Wall, \aumann. Orohard, Sliiro, M'Lauchlan, and Gawno, and Messrs Anthony and Uarkson contributed musical items, thoso of Bro. Orchard (Roxburgh) king specially appreciated. Koutino business being disposed of, tho lodge adjourned early, and all prcsont (nth the exception of the permanent secretary) paid an official visit to tho Hand and Heart Lodge, and renewed acquaintance witli several of tho Roxburgh brethren who wero present. Committee was presented by the Crand Master, who ably represented tlio lodge, on that body. Per. Secretary Bro. lurnbiill was granted leave of absonco to enable him to visit Australia, A letter of recommendation was also given to Bro. lurnbiill, toenable him to visit sister lodges on Ins travels. P.O. Bro. Palmer consented to art as lodgo secretary pro tern. Bro. lurnbiill commenced his duties as secretary to tho lodgo on tho night it was opened, and as a token of tho esteem in which ho is held by the members ho was tho recipient of a caso of pipes. Tho general odgo business being concluded, a pleasant hour was spent in harmony. Bro. Gill (Uiincdin) acknowledged tho toast of visiting brothers.

Thero was a hrge attendance of officers and members at the usual fortnightly meet•jig of the I/oyal Dalton Udgo last Tuesday evening, when N.G. Bro. Pennycook occupied the chair. It was anticipated .that the members of the Loyal Milton, Knitangata, and Alexandra Lodges would pay an official visit, but. unfortunately, the arrangements made by the sister lodges wero unable to be carried out. During tho evening four candidates wero initiated into tho order. Lecture-master Bro. Willocks, assisted by P.G. Bro. W. Bain, controlling the ceremony. P.P.C.M. Bro. A. II Lawry, on belialf of the delegates present at tho half-yearly district mooting, presented (through the N.(J.) an enlarged photograph to P.P.G.M. Bro. C. J. Wood, in recognition of tho timo ho had so frHv devoted to furthering tho enuso of Odilfellowship in the Otago district, 'lite presentation was not made in on official way, but simply ns a token of appreciation from the many delegates who havo met Bro. Wood at district mooting*. N.G. Bro. Pennycook, on receiving tho enlargement, said it was unfortunate that the recipient was not present, but he could assure thoso win had contributed to tho gift that Bro. \\ood would value tho token of th>ir estocm very highly indeed, and he would have great pleasure in his official capacity as chief officer of the lodge in handing ovo r tlie photograph to Dro. Wood. liro. Broadloy (Kaitungata), Per. Secretary Bro. Wylio (Port Molyncnx), and G.M. ])ro. Bragg (Caversham) responded to tho second toast of the evening, and P.P.G.M. l!ro. Lawry acknowledged tho courtesies extended to the executive.

The fortn-ghtly meeting of the Loval Caversham J/idge was held on Wednesday night. There was a good attendance of brethren, and two new monitors wero initiated. P.G. Bio. H. J. Hill gn vo the G.M. charge, and P.G. Bro. ,T. Wilson, jun., acted as conductor. One now memlier was proposed. P.P.G.M. Bro. J. Broadfoot rosjioiidcd to tho second toast, and referred to tho enthusiasm displayed by the Roxbiirkh brethren in viating Dunwlin. P.P.G.M. Bro. J. 11. F. Ilamel responded on behalf of tho district, mid matlo some interesting statements in rcga«l to tho progress of Oddfellowship. It was arranged that a musical party should visit Bro. 11. Broinner next Wednesday night, and several members of the lodge volunteered to assist in entertaining the brother. Letters of recommendation were granted to Bros. Hiiteliesoii and I/car to enable them to visit the Canterbury lodges. P.G. Bro. B. Soune.'s was thanked for his able report of the dispensary meeting. After the ordinary meeting closed, a degree meeting was held, and V.G. Bro. J. Hudson was granted the second degree.
