AUTHORISATION BILL. ' FJVE NORTH ISLAND LINES.' (Fboji Oun Ows CoRnEsroxDENT.) WELLINGTON, November 4. The Railways Authorisation Bill was ill* trodueed in the House of Representatives tliis afternoon. The following are the lines proposed to be authorised:—North Auckland : A branch line from Whiingarei via Kioreroa to a junction with tho North. Auckland railway, length about 20 miles; North Island Main Trunk, via Patcromhoe, to Waiuku, length about 12 miles; Hast Coast Main Trunk from Makaraka in a westerly and south-westerly direction to Hangaroa, length about 26 miles (tho authorisation by the 1910 Act of a lino from (lissborne southwards 26 miles is to be repealed); Foxton-Ncw Plymouth (Opunakc branch), from the Foxtou-New Plymouth main line' to Opunakc, length about &} miles; Wellington-Napier (FeathcrstonMartiiiborough branch) from Fcathcrston to Mnrtinborough, length about 11 miles; Ilurunui-Waitaki (Ciilverdcn main branch), from Ciilverdcn to Waiau, length abnut 14 milcr,; Waitnki-IMnff (BalcluthaTuapeka Mouth branch), from Bnlclutha to Tunpeka Mouth, length about 21 miles.
