At a laigeJy-attemted meeting of representatives ot dillerent religious denominations it was decided to form a branch of the New Zealand liibic-in-Schools league. A strong General Committee ot upwards of 40 members was appointed, also a representative execul ivc. The Mew Kcaluiul cadets who have returned from Canada had a great reception on Saturday, a very largo crowd turning out to meet" them, to-night they were entertained at a smoke concert by the Territorials. TJMARU, November 4, The borough etigmeer, .Mr Leeder, sent in his resignation, and at a special meeting of the council to-night the resignation was accepted.
