In the House of Representatives tho attention of the Minister of Customs wits directed to a published statement that as tho result of the scale of wages and conditions which Mr Tudor had intimated would be acceptable regardiitg the sugar industry 15C0 men had already been discharged, and he was asked if he- would reconsider his.attitude.

Mr Tudor replied that he had received no representations from any employees of the loss of employment on account of the scale and conditions.
