UNWILLING TERRITORIALS
BECOME AMENABLE TO DISCIPLINE.
In the Cily Police Court yesterday morning. Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., was called upon lo_ deal with tho cases of tho four yoiitliß—Ernest Mcenan, James Kmmelt llussey, Robert Mtinro Low, and James Hammond Graham, who had been previously before tin; court on charges of failing to attend Territorial parades. Thu cases had been adjourned from the previous week to givo the youths an opportunity of taking the oath and making amends. With regard to Mcenan, who had been charged with failing to attend parades on May 2 and June 12 and 21, Senior-sergeant King stated that tho youth had registered after a_ great deal of reluctance. After having twice gone to headquarters and refused to do so be had dually taken the onlh on Monday, when ho had been rßther insolent. Mcenan, who promised to attend parades in future, was convicted and discharged, the magistrate impressing upon him that if he did not allend parades he would be liable to be severely dealt with.
James Hammond Graham, also charged with failing to attend parades, had sinco rendered satisfaction, so the information against him was withdrawn.
Robert Munro I/>w and James Emmett Ilussey were convicted and discharged, 'having taken the oaUi sinco their last appearanco before tho court.
