The annual Meeting of the North Dun* c<lin —tlio only remaining—brartch of the Sixpenny Clothing Club wasjield on Wednesday afternoon. The thirtieth annual report, 'prepared by Mrs fjliaw, acknow* ledjment of the p-nerous and willing support accorded by the subscribere, showed that the dull continued its work un the same lines as those adopted by it at its inception. All the necessitous cases that came under it* noiic helped, ami many of liio inomU-ft felt that th<i aged and inlinn, ami the poor, deserted wives wit.li families who received this help, would, without it, he indeed in a sad plight. A small legacy which was left by a friend ."time years a-;o had enabled the club to relieve many more eases than it eould otherwiso have done. Thanks were esprorfed to the Dmcoiis' Court o[ Knox Church for the ino of a room for tlu' monthly meetings, und (n the Misses Hell for their annual •lift of blanket*. etc. Tlio loss suffered by the dub tmouL'h th_- removal of its president (Mrs lilack) from Duncdin was also mcntioiied. The hon. treasurer's report -honed that the iwipts for the year were £50 13s 3d, ant! the expenditure "was J £66 16s sd. the balance in the bank ami in hand Ivin;- mined from £35 Is Gel to £lo 13s 4d.
