The weather wis dull and chilly and tho wicket soft for the third days play at the Oval in the Tina! test match.
The overnight- score was: Australia, two wickets for 52-Kel!c\\ay not out 26, Bardsiey not out 10. Dean and Barnes took up the bowling. The kitting was quiet and the fielding close. Barnes was -rising considerably. Bardsiey scored two singles in 25 minutes. Woolley replaced Barnes at 77, and Bardsiey got him to leg for 4 and 3 in his lirst over. Barnes replaced .Dean at 85.
