MINISTERS ON TOUR.
(Per United Press. Association.) MASTERTON, .May .5. Tho Hod. J. A. Hanan (Minister of Education) and tho Hon. Dr To Rangihiroa were motored round tho district to-day, accompanied by llio Mayor and Mr Sykes, M.P. Tlioy visited tho hospital and tho outlying districts, and inspected various schools.' Mr llanan was greatly pleased .with tho school gardens nt tho Gladstono School, and said thoy wero tho finest he had ever seen. The Ministers wero pleased with tho country visited. Tlioy left for Wellington by the afternoon train. NELSON, Ma v 3. Tho Hon. W. D. S. Macdonald (Minister of Public Works), who is visiting this district, returned from Murchison : this evening. Ho inspected the railway works at Glen Hope, and, having seen the extent of the valuable- land in tho vicinity of Murchison, is impressed with tho necessity for pushing on with the construction of the railway in that direction. To-morrow he will "receivo a deputation of citizens on local matters, and on Monday he will proceed overland to Blenheim and Ticton.
