'lb-day tho troop will meet at tho Post Office at 2.10 p.m., prior to proceeding to Tomahawk; cyclists to bo mounted. There was a splendid muster of Scouts ih the Walker Street Hall on Wednesday. Evidently tho Pioneer troops aro out for solid work. Morse signalling is being made a subjcct of special mi port, and examination* will be wnducted shortly in thia branch of work. An effort ie being mode to bring the Pioneers up to battalion strength. -.A parade will bo held at the rear of tho Post Office at 2.15 p.m. The St. Kilda Troop met m the Bungalow Tea Roottts on Wednesday evening. Thcro was a lajgo attendanco of Scouts, under Scout master Wilkinson. TTio instruction for the evening included first-aid, signalling, and general work. Thcro aro several new lads ottering, which will mean that this troop shortly will hold thd- pre* inienhip for numbers. On Wednesday ovening Commander Jones presented to tho following Scouts tlitar siTonilckus test badges:—Sergeantmajor Hiltlretli, Pabrol-leeder Tombs, Loader Manley, Leader Canty, Corporal Hildreth, Coriwral Stewart, Scout Maxwelf, Scout E. Tombs.
The St. Clair and Caversham Soouta trill probably go into camp during tho coming holidnvft. A camp of instruction will also be held with a view to giving tho Sooats an oiportunity of engaging in actual work. Tho programme will compriso earthworks, night alarms, «nd general scouting. The Salvation Army' Scouts are a progressive lot of l»els, and deeofve every epnwdcration from those in charge of tho work. Scout-master Hannah has bem very' koca on | getting the lads into nctivo work. Tho bcop includes several bad«->bo!dore, nnd it is rumoured that a eh&Uengo has been accepted for tho largest percentego of per troop. ' r
