[Sir Jonkin Ooles was bom in 1842 at Sydney. His family nemo -was Colo, desanded from John Cole, Bart., of Dublin. Ho was a member of the Sontii Australian Parliinvont from 1875, and hold offioo in successive Ministries. Ho was made K.C.M.G. in 1C94. Ho to SpojJcor for 21 Nwions, and never miwwl a sitting.
