In the Industrial Court to-day an application waa'made to alter the award which fixed milk carters' wages at 7a per day on the grounds of enormously increased rente and the higher cast of living. Judgo Scholes, in his decision, said ho questioned if ho would be justified in altering the award owing to the effect which it would have on trade conditions generally, but 7s 6d per day tvm a wago below whioh workmen should not be expected to go. ,
