CHRISTCIIURCH, November 15. Tlicrc were fairly largo entries of fctock and a gi/od attendance. Storo sheep wero a little oasier, with the exception of forward Colliers. Fat cattle were unchanged, am] fat .'amlw wcr-t very firm at tho rate* ruling a fortnight ago. Fat sheep were down Is 6d to 2s jwr head. Fat pigs were easier, but there was a good demand for stores.

The demand for ell clusaea was fair, but prices wore easier with tho execution of forward wethers, wlu'eh sold well up to lato rates. Thcro wero 2E2 fat lambs of good to prime quality penned, and tho number was below butchers' requirements, and competition was. therefore, keen. Prices were very firm, and well up to, if not abovo tho average of those ruling a fortnight ago. Tho bulk of the lambs mado 16s to 18s'6d, and otliors 14s to 15a 9d.

Thcro wa-i a large entry of fat sheep, of which rather more titan* half wero shorn, and the yarding included a number of Soutldand lines. There was a good demand, but with a more plentiful supply prico* weakened by about Is 6d to 2s per head as compared with tho previous sale. A good many lots wore passed, bj tenders were not prepared to accept tho reduced rates. The range of prices was:—Woolly wethers, prime 21s to 25s lid; others, 16s 5d to 20s od; prime shorn wethers, 16s to 20s 7d; others, 13s lid to 15s 6d; prime woolly owe:., 18s bd to 23s 8d; others. 13s .9d to 18s; prime fliorn, 15s 6d to 20s; others. 13s 3d to iss; shorn hoggets, 13s; extra prime shorn merino wethers, 18s 6d: woolly merino ewe-s. 14s 3d to 16s.

The offerings of fat. cattle totalled only

182 Jiead, and there was a good general average of quality. Thoro was a good demand, and price. l ) woro fairly firm. One exceptionally primo stcor roado £26, others £7 17 5 6d to £115*, extra, to £1710s. heifers £6 to £8 7« 6J, extra to £14, cows £5 5s to £8, and oxtra t<> £10 15s (oqual to 27« to 37s 6d nor 1001b, according to quality). Vco! calves made 4s 6d to £2 17s 6d. There being a gr.od entry, a medium entry of store cattle, mostly in low oondition, mot with an improved "demand, yearlings making 30s, 15 to 18 months 37s 6d to 455, two-year steers £4 2s cd, two-year heifers £3 16*, five-year steers £5 7s, and dry cows 50s to £4 ss. Dairy oows mado £3 10s to £8 5s for ordinary torts, up to £10 5s for the better class.

There was a larger entry of pigj than a fortnight ago, and ( both demand and prices were easier. Choppers mado £3 16s, largo Imconers 52s 6d to 60s, oxtra to 81s, others 45s to 50s (equal to 5Jd per lb), largo porkcra 40s to 445, smaller 35s to 37s 6d (equnl to s}d to 6(1 nor lb). There was a good demand for stores, largo sorts making 28s to 335, smaller 16s to 265, and wcancrs 6a to 13s.
