The New Zealand Shipping Company is advised that the Ruahone, from London to Wellington, left Capetown on Saturday afternoon. Tho John Hardie, from Philadelphia, via way ports, brought 20,000 casts of Shell kerosene for this port. The shipment is from tho British Imperial Oil Company (Limited), and is the first shipment from that company to arrive in New Zealand. The word "Shell" is the brand of the oil, aaid is used in the same way as " White Rose," etc. The John Hardie will complete her dischargo here, and will then go to Adelaide on charter to load wheat. Her oil is being landed hero in particularly good order, and is said to bo the best shipment in this respect that has arrived in Dunedin. . iihe is expected to sail to-day for South Australia. The Navua, duo at Auckland: yesterday from tho West Coast, is expected to leave to-morrow for Fiji. Tho Hauroto leit Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon for Westport, where she mill load coal for Wellington.. Her officers are:—Captain, Mr W. J. King; chief officer, Mr H. Whyborn; second officer, Mr A. M'Lollan; third, Mr, J. Healey. Tho To Anau, which left Port Clielmers yesterday afternoon to -relieve tho Pateiia. in the Welington-Picton eervico while tho latter is docked, and also to relieve somo of tho West Coast traders, is officered as follows:— Captain, Mr S. Vint (of the Waitemata); chief officer, Mr J. S. Billon; second officer, Mr lies; third officer, Mr G. Gray. The Corinthio will load at Port Chalmers on August 1. ■ It is now considsred improbable that the Matatua will bs docked at Port Chalmers. The Kaituna is loading timber at Grey, mouth .for Sydney. Tho Wanak'a left Newcastle on Saturday night for Wellington and Picton. Tho Koromiko is duo at Newcastle to-■-lajr to load for Lyttelton and Timuiu.
