LOCAL APPOINTMENTS. (Per United Piiess Association.) WELLINGTON, May 12. Inspectors oi' quarries have been appointed under the 'legislation passed last session. Included among the appointments aro the following:—T. Thomson (Inspector of Minos, Dunedin), for Ashburton, Geraldine, Mackenzie, Levels, Waimate, Waitaki, Waiheroo, Maniototo, Yincent, Lake, Toieri, Waikouaiti, Peninsula, Bruce, Tua.pclia, Clntha, Wallace, Southland, Fiord, and Stewart Island Counties; K. R. Green (Inspector of Minos, Dnnedin), for Afihburton, Geraldine, Lsvels, Mackenzie, Wa.inia.fce, Wai. taki, Wailicmo, Maniototo, Vincent, Lake, Taicri, Waikouaiti, Bruce, Peninsula, Tuapeka, Clutha, Wallaras, Southland, Fiord, and Stewart Island Counties.
