NAPIER, March 24. An unusually sevoro shock of earthquake, lasting £9sec, and preceded by a sudden jolt, was experienced at Napier last night at five minutes to 9 o'clock. Tho lecturer urged the formation of an Imperial Parliament as a means of consolidating iho Empire and preserving tho ideals of its component parts by its total force. Votes of thanks to the lecturer and chairman (Mr R. D. D. M'Lean) were carried.
